University of Illinois Urbana–Champaign’s actuarial science program is one of few universities globally recognized by the Society of Actuaries (SOA) as a Center of Actuarial Excellence with a University-Earned Credit (UEC) Program. Actuarial Science at Illinois has been approved to grant qualified students eligibility for UEC credits for all SOA exams that can be obtained through UEC credits, namely: FM, FAM, SRM, ASTAM, and ALTAM. Through this program, degree-seeking students who participate in approved courses will be eligible for specific SOA exam credit after obtaining the required score.
U o f I has successfully completed the intensive UEC evaluation process, ensuring their quality, rigor and testing integrity. These university programs are required to apply the standards of the UEC program to their courses. It is the same rigorous standards that the SOA applies to all current examinations.
