About the speaker: Haoen Cui is an alum of the mathematics department who knows the pain of group projects.

Abstract: This is a “special issue” talk on collaboration and project management for IRisk lab summer projects. In this talk, we will cover various topics that productive researchers will need but may not be formally taught for effective team collaboration with software outputs. Planned topics include bash scripting, version control, using GitLab, and project management tips. We will also address questions from the audience to better prepare students for upcoming projects.
